Relationship between you and your GC

So if you don't know, I've begun the process of doing my first fix-and-flip. Now I work with tons of agents and know how they are, but in this business you learn that a GC (general contractor) comes in different shapes, sizes, and social skills. If you've ever worked with a GC you know that I'm telling the truth. You come across some that will cuss out the sky if they could, others who are as polite as can be, and then others who are just all about business—no small talk, just grunts, creaking floors, and nods.

I tend to want the guy that's not listed. He's just cool people and is willing to do the job, tell me about the numbers, has a couple words of a sailor but knows that it's not needed every time.  Hey but maybe thats just the newbie in me.

So help me out who was your favorite GC to work with, and if you have one, who was your worst? No need to say names, a great story for the unknown individual is always better for the reader. Also, what was something you wish you knew to look for when looking for a GC when taking on your first project?
