Getting a loan

Posted

Hello BP fam! I am new to the forum and new to investing. I'm currently a newish (3yrs)real estate agent and I also have a serving job on the side because real estate has been so slow lately. I'm looking to purchase my first owner occupied duplex or triplex within the next year or so. I've been told by a couple of different lenders that I have to be working at both jobs for two years in order to use both streams of income to qualify. I would like to use both streams of income to qualify so that I can get more house. For context, I just started the serving job a few months ago. Do you guys have any suggestions on what I should do? I want to get in there as soon as possible. I don't want to wait two years, I prefer one, but if I need to, and that's my only option, I will. Thank you in advance for your time.
