Friend looking for agent and 2-4 unit renovation project

Hi BP,

I have a friend who is being relocated for work (next month!) to Saint Charles / St. Louis area and she’s interested in looking for a property for renovation and possibly conversion to two units. We’ll be living in temp housing for several months while project finishes.

Can anyone recommend some local agents who are investor focused? Also, anyone have general contractor contacts that are well-versed in either basement conversions or separating single-family into a rental unit and main house. Contractors must be very organized and communicative (yes that comes with a cost, but this would be a buy and hold so ok)

My friend will be coming with a good amount of money down after selling their property in Portland.
