I am in the syracuse new york  area looking to purchase multi unit properties. Just beginning the journey of investing all insight on this approach is welcomed. Any realtor and brokers suggested for sound direction with this endeavor?

Syracuse can be a good market for multifamily. I'd spend some time learning the numbers first; cash flow, expenses, and vacancy will matter more than the property itself. As for agents, I'd look for one who owns rentals themselves or regularly works with investors. They'll usually give much better guidance than a typical residential agent.
