Duplex build to sell

Hello! New investor here. Looking to build duplexes from scratch in the southern Houston area. I don’t want to hold onto these properties as I am hoping to sell during the late phases of construction. Currently trying to source land and meet with a Builder . Any other in the current scenario? Would appreciate any info you can give me as well.

Curious on price per square foot to build versus sell for those who have projects under their belt to see if it matches up with what I’m being quoted etc

Building to sell can work well if you have a clear understanding of your total project costs and expected resale value. I'd also spend time talking with local builders and agents about current demand, construction timelines, and holding costs, since those can have a big impact on your final margins.
