What would you do in my situation?

We are working with a family on purchasing multiple homes. The attorney over it seems to be fairly busy with other things. They have let our contracts with 7 day validity periods expire 3 times without so much as a response other then asking for an extension.  First time they said they were hoping for more. 2nd time they mailed us a key to get into one of the properties we offered on unseen. 3rd time was this past week. We raised our offers. I met with the attorney to return the key last night and he said that he would call the family yesterday and be in touch today. I haven't heard anything. When she mailed me the key in with it was a name # and address from the person who mailed the key. Would you call her and try to remove the middle man to at the very least open up dialogue?
