Ready to make the plunge!

Hello everyone,

I am 25 years old and am new to BP as of last week. Since joining I have been glued to the forums and this is BY FAR the best source of info I have come across In all my readings throughout the years. I have been interested in REI since high school and think I am ready to make my first purchase. My plan has always been to start w a duplex and live in one and rent the other.

     I want to know if anyone that has started down this path and what they have experienced. Suggestions, ideas, strategies,  what to looks for and any other info anyone can offer will he greatly appreciated. I look forward to hear what other people who have actually walked the walk have to say about this particular strategy.
