Assigning a short sale contract

I am the designated real estate agent for this short sale deal I am working on. I originally got in touch with the seller through a long hustle of knocking on doors and hand written letters. I just found out that I am un able to buy the property as their listing agent  and it is not assignable. Has anyone ever worked around BoA's assignment clause? I am ok with not buying it but I would like to work with a close friend(another agent) to have him get it under contract as the buyer and then assign it to someone else.

Let me know if you guys have any ideas!

Typically short sales are not assignable, which it sounds like you've already discovered. Since the bank wouldn't allow you to assign it, how then could your friend get it under contract and then assign it to someone else?  Sounds to me like the exact same scenario you already got denied on.  My suggestion would be to forget about all this assignment stuff and just work on trying to find a true end buyer.  I'm assuming it's a good deal (since both you and your friend were willing to put offers in), so it shouldn't be that hard to find a buyer.
