Multifamily in Chicago?

Question

I am looking for network with people and find great Multi Family properties. I have been fix & flipping SFR for awhile now however need some guidance finding the MF deals. Please let me know where I can my start. Any suggestions is much appreciated.

CIC does loans for multifamily units in Chicago. They are really stressing the redevelopment of the Southside right now, so they are giving out loans like crazy, especially in the Chatham area. I have a guy who has been sending me MFs as I am looking for a couple of MFs myself. PM me and I can give you his info or forward some deals to you

Don't know much about the Chicage arena, however, there was an excellent podcast with a guy from Chicago. One of the best resources he mentioned there was a company called CIC Chicago that specializes in MF financing.

I forget which podcast number it was. Maybe one of the vets can help.

If anyone has a good wholesaler of MFs on the south and west side, I would love to get their contact info.  I already have a pretty large portfolio and am looking to add to it.

I met a great gentleman that works for CIC. He has been in the industry for 3 decades. He was giving a presentation at a local REI Club, WCRT about tenant screening. Phenomenal. I remember them saying he does a yearly presentation there.
