Lending

I'm looking to get my first deal done on Long Island NY. Has anyone had good success with a private lender in that area?
Private lender or a hard money lender? Big difference. If you look online I am sure there are plenty of HMLs on Long Island. Private money is a whole different animal altogether and is very much a relationship and experience based way of doing real estate deals.
I am looking for a private lender to help acquire a buy and hold property. I don't currently have anyone in my family/friend pool that qualify.

I have had good luck finding them here on BiggerPockets. Just search around the different forums I am sure you will find one or more especially if you become a Pro member you will have access to private lenders or investors or other types like hard money lenders, even transactional funding

Thanks Gilbert. I have become a Pro member and now I will explore BP further.
