Looking to Purchase a House in Houston

Hey guys, 

I am looking to purchase a my first house or duplex inside the Houston loop.  With this purchase I plan on moving into the house and renting out the other rooms, so preferably a 3 bedroom 2 bath.  I am also very interested in Duplexs and triplex's and being an onsite landlord.  I am looking to stay under $250K on the purchase.  I am not opposed to rehabbing a house, but that must be included in the overall estimate of the house. After this purchase is solidified I will be looking to purchase an additional house as a flip. 

Overall, I am looking for experienced help in the area
