Buy and hold investors

Hi there

I am looking to get involved in buy and hold properties in the Grand Rapids, MI area but would like to partner up with investors.   Does anyone have any experience with how this could be set up so it is beneficial for both me and an investor?

Thanks

Ben Tilburn

@Ben Tilburn First, welcome to the site. Can you be a little more specific about what you mean by partnering up with someone here in Grand Rapids?

Are you just looking for boots on the ground or a 50/50 partner?

@Ben Tilburn - there are a number of options for you.  You can seek out some 'turnkey' property providers, if you are interested in buying and holding without much hands on work.  You can partner with Realtors and Wholesalers if you want help acquiring properties yourself.  And of course, if you need property management / inspection work, there are people that can help as well.

What are you hoping for?  Thanks for clarifying!

Hey mate,

Long time no speak ;)

I hope you've been well.

As a Canadian citizen, it is almost impossible for me to find a mortgage for the properties I am looking for in the Grand Rapids area.  This means I have to pay cash for the properties I am looking for but only have a limited supply of that at the moment.  I was wondering if anyone has experience with someone paying for the majority of the buy and hold property as strictly a silent investor.  If so, how would this be structured so that it is beneficial for the lender and for myself.   Hope this explains it a little better

Hi @Ben Tilburn - I would talk directly to some money people.  Hard Money lenders, equity folks, portfolio lenders, etcetera.  A lot of them offer, or are directly linked to, some plans that may work for you.  Send me a private message, as I don't like to broadcast name info (don't want to violate TOS either).  Have a good one!
