Hello BP members
Should a unexperienced investor with no properties yet, go and get there realtor license and work for an agency first?
Yes, a real estate license is not needed to invest in properties. That being said, having your license and having access to the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) will only be of benefit to you in your investing career.
If you're not doing many deals at all each year a license may not be as helpful to you as you think. It can come with a lot or regulations that you have to follow as well as monetary costs. For lots of investors they just prefer to work with an agent who knows their stuff.
