quick claim deed

researching properties, I notice people quick claim deed title over for a nominal fee. I see people to LLC which I get, but I saw one where and individual quick claimed it to herself. What would be the reason for this.

I've heard of idiots doing this thinking that it would void their loan.  Putting that aside, they may have been changing the language of the deed, for instance tenants in common and changed to joint tenants with the right of survivorship.
