Streamlining rental application???

Question

Hi there,

We are hoping to put an offer on our second rental property soon and I am wondering if anyone knows a convenient way to send and receive applications electronically or otherwise where we don't have to meet each and every person at the rental and give them an application. We have 5 kids and are busy and trying to free up time and start out on the right foot.

Hello Rachel,

There are many different services out there. Cozy and AppFolio are among some popular ones.

I would suggest doing some research and see if there are any property management programs that let you do a demo trial. This way you can test to see which one you like best.

You can send the Online Application by email. Prospective renters complete the application online  and pay the screening fee with their credit card through a secure web portal. Then, you get an email notification and login to view the screening report. Feel free to contact me directly to setup an account for this.

I do showing at my rentals for two hours on the weekends, I post my vacancies about 5-10 days before the actually showing and I just tell everyone to show up between those times.  I have Apps there and if they can't make it or need one for whatever reason i email it to them and tell them to either mail it back to me or to drop it off back at the house and Ill take a few more days to review all of them and make our decision.  I to need to streamline our process we are going to have our apps available online to file out and it will help cut down on a lot of paper work. also we use "mysmartmove" to do our background checks and on there they have the option to pay directly online for the background check that helps weed out the people who aren't very serious.
