Buying a piece of land

Ok so i'm going to start doing direct mail to buy land a resell them. I have no idea how to buy and sell a property, if someone accepts a letter where do i go from there? and what do i need to do and how much would everything cost if i bought a piece of land for $500 for example

Don't mean to burst your bubble but I suggest a little more education or partnering with a more experienced investor for the first few deals.
