Finding an MIA Owner

I'm trying to chase down the owner of a Triplex I'm interested in, but keep running into walls.

Long version: this property was listed by an agent on the MLS for quite a while. My agent talked to the listing agent to try to set up a showing for several weeks, but the listing agent never set up a showing. This agent makes himself very inaccessible, and also apparently forgets a lot of things even when you do talk to him.

Now the listing is no longer on the MLS, and based on the dates, I believe his contract with the seller expired. It's also not on as an expired listing, or previous listing - the listing agent apparently just made it disappear.

SO - I looked up the owner online, got an address for him, and tried looking up a phone number from that. Here's the problem: that address was for a business that I believe the owner of this property used to own....which went out of business more than three years ago. I called one of the other businesses at the address, but they weren't able or willing to help. The phone number for the business is out of service, and the forwarding address for mail is expired as well.

Help me out here BP community! And if nothing else, help me learn something new!

Thanks All!
