Student rentals in Ontario

Hello all,

I am interested in investing in student housing in Ontario. Any area which is within the range of 2-3 hours drive from Toronto would work for me. My goal is to create a good cash flow, to accumulate funds and to grow my portfolio as quickly as it is realistically possible. I understand that a considerable investment of time is involved.

What would be a good area to invest considering my goals? Does anyone have tips on acquiring, financing and licensing student properties?

Thank you very much!

Megan.

Hi Megan,

I am also looking to get into student housing in Ontario. I have a few properties & real estate in Brampton and a student rental in London, the london rental I got with my in-laws as a joint venture, but it was more a turn-key but I want to get some more closer to the GTA around 1-2 hour drive that I can get renovated maybe add a room and find tenants on my own and have a local property manager to manage.

If you want to discuss maybe doing a joint venture feel free to contact me. Not sure how much experience you have in real estate in general?

Thanks,

Daljeet
