Certificate of Occupancy in Philadelphia PA.

I have sold a condo in NJ that did not require a Certificate of Occupancy.  Does Philadelphia require COs for condos?  What about purchasing a multi-family property (2-4 units)?  I know a realtor will be able to answer these questions but I have not engaged a realtor yet.

@Chris Miles - Yes Philadelphia requires a Certificate of Occupancy for Residential Properties in Philadelphia County.

When it comes to Multi-Family properties, a CO is required and if the property is not owner occupied, Philadelphia requires a Commercial Activity License.

If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to reach out - I can link you to more info on renting out units in Philadelphia county.
