Property manager advice
my wifes real estate agent is managing one of our rental properties. I received this email from him the other day:
"The current tenant contacted me last month telling me he wanted to purchase the unit so I told him to put it all in writing with the same Realtor who helped him rent it in 4/1/15. Today we received the attached paperwork with his offer to close in 30 days. Please review in detail & let me know how we should respond as market continues to shift. Updated sold comps to follow.Btw, what's your gut feeling about the market in the next 2-3 years in West Houston vs Heights vs Austin?"
So my question to the forum is my property manager looking out for my interests or his?

I'm not sure why the need to get another real estate agent involved. Shouldn't a unsolicited offer from a tenant be able to be purchased directly and avoid the 6% real estate agents commissions?
