Illinois eviction and foreclosure questions

Hello.  I am considering purchasing a property in Illinois, currently I do most of my investing in Michigan.  Is Illinois a redemption state?  If so, how many months after the sheriff sale before it expires?

In Michigan, most evictions take roughly 30-45 days.  Is that about the same for Illinois?

Any other information or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

In Illinois the eviction process depends on where the property is located. THe last time I did an eviction in Cook County (Chicago), it took me about 4-5 months if I recall to get the judge to order the eviction, then it was 11 weeks before my number came up for the Sheriff to come enforce. It was terrible. In that time they lived free, tore up the place, etc.

After that, I vowed to never own in Chicago/Cook again.

@Account Closed is correct in Indiana, depending the location, evictions from day file to day they are removed can be anywhere from 16 days on the bottom end.
