Thoughts/Opinions on Wholesalers

I realized this is a vague and open ended question or statement, but what does everyone think about wholesalers from the buyers perspective. Assuming I'm a fix & flip, buy rehab & hold or buy & hold investor. I've certainly read plenty of negative comments, but there must be a few pros in dealing with wholesalers. I.e. Finding deep discount properties not listed on the MLS. Secondly, how do you expand your network and find the right wholesaler. Let me know your thoughts.

@Will Schryver some conduct business with skill, others are just out there doing everything wrong. Attend local meetings and find out who is legit and who is not.
