Hello,

I am looking to purchase my first investment property in Chicago. I would like to hear professional opinions for a first time investors financing options. I am looking to purchase a 3-4 plex/flat. My research points to owner occupied FHA loans but was wondering what and if there are benefits to other options. Please let me know if I should provide more details. This is my first post!

Thank you in advanced!

Depending on where you might buy, 5% conventional (vs FHA) is likely the way to go if you will occupy the building. Have you thought about areas?

Happy to flush through a lot of these preliminary considerations if you'd like to chat!
