Advise on Assisted Living Facilities

Hello BP Community!

I'm a residential investor in FL and I have been considering expanding my portfolio by purchasing an assisted living facility (ALF). 

This is a very new venture for me and I would be very grateful to receive any tips or advice from anyone with experience in this area.

Enjoyed reading through this thread.  I took Gene's course last April...we were building 4 family rental properties, but decided to change the design of the properties and make them into RAL's instead.  The shell is basically the same, but obviously everything changed inside.  We open in August if all goes well this next month with getting licensure!  It's definitely getting exciting...would love to chat to anyone else who has opened a ALF business.  Our homes will be 16 private bedrooms with private bathrooms, family style set up.
