Does anyone recommend a bank to get a FHA loan from. I'm a first time home buyer ? I'm not quite sure about Bank of America...

In most cases I would say you should find a mortgage broker. They'll do more shopping for you and can find some awesome rates. Just as an FYI, since you're a first timer you should look into the HomeReady and HomePossible loans. They can be much better in a lot of cases than the FHA loans.
