North Chicago Suburbs

Hi BP, my wife and I are heading to Chicago because of a job opportunity. We are interested in buying a SFR and would like to live close to the city if not in the city. Chicago is so big and I have no idea where to start. Can someone help me by dropping a few neighborhoods in north chicago/north suburbs that are great values.

Logan Square is good and getting better. Lincolnwood is nice and getting better. Lincoln square is already nice. Lake view and Lincoln park are closest to the city and are pretty nice as well.
