lease to own option versus land contract.
I just sold a property and was planning on doing a 12 month land contract, at which time buyers will be able to acquire a traditional mortgage. In talking to a mortgage broker friend today, he suggested it might be a better idea to do a lease to own option. Otherwise we would not be able to do a 1031exchange. Any insight from the BP community would be helpful and appreciated.
