New to Real Estate in NYC!

New to the Real Estate game and excited to get in. I am currently located in Hoboken, NJ right outside the Big Apple. Always interested in meeting new people along the way as I am sure there are many of you in my area. A baseball player myself, so I travel quite a bit, just curious how some of you in any area got started. Read Rental Property Investing and it talks about working in expensive areas which I am obviously in one. Curious to see how everyone else did it. Would love to connect and chat!

Hey Patrick,

I also live in the NYC area(Brooklyn) and am just getting started out. The prices here are not too my liking so I'll be starting out investing in Pittsburgh. I used to live there and have a lot of family there, so I know the area pretty well. Since you used to play for the Pirates you may know the area as well, might be something to consider. Could be a good area to start out on the cheaper side and learn some lessons without putting too much capital up. It's not too far from NYC either so weekend trips are possible. If you want to discuss the market in Pittsburgh or anything just hit me up.
