My name is Chad Prescott, I'm 19 and I live in Panama City, Fl. Real estate investing is something that has always caught my attention but I don't even know where to begin. I'm currently studying Business Administration and plan to get a bachelors. I'm really trying to get into real estate as well. I have absolutely zero experience, but I do have determination and I am very hard working. I’m trying to build knowledge and experience and to hopefully make a wholesaling deal in the future, then move onto rentals and double closures and so forth. If anyone has any tips for a beginner please feel free to comment . Thanks.

Welcome! We are just west of PCB but are seeking projects into PC as well. There’s is a lot of good info on here. I’d recommend going on meetup and finding events you are interested in and start attending. The PIG events are good as they provide networking and education. The next one will be in January in PC.

Welcome Chad! If you ever want to swing by my office (C21 Commander Realty) and have a cup of coffee I'd be happy to try and point you in the right direction.

@Chad Prescott

I have a similar story to you, Chad. I was in college pursuing a BA degree in Accounting and I got into real estate as a way to pay for my college tuition. Fast forward 30 years and I eventually dropped the corporate world in 1995 and pursued real estate full time (I was making more money in real estate part time than a full time job in finance.) :)

My suggestion - read, educate yourself (books, webinars, forum, BiggerPockets of course, Meetups,) but once you have the idea, take action. Focus and consistent action are so important.

There is a ton of information out there, much more than when I started 30 years ago. Unfortunately TMI can lead to "paralysis of analysis." Get enough education to get started, but then put the books down and go out there an get into the action.

Awesome! thank you, everyone.

I would love to get together with anyone and maybe get some hands-on experience.
Contact me anytime, if I'm not free I can certainly make some time.
