Buying Site Unseen

Saw a listing with a pretty decent price today. It bragged that the property backed up to "government land".

There's lots of government land around here: BLM, National Grasslands, National Forest, State Forest, National Monument, State Parks.......

So I took a look to see what government land.

The property backs up to the Sanitary Landfill. Yup, owned by the county government.

I figure that house will be purchased by one of you guys who keep bragging that you never look at the houses you purchase.

In a sense... I've bought property at courthouse auctions sight unseen from the inside. That doesn't mean I didn't do a site visit... meaning I would have picked up on this particular Sanitary Landfill scenario.
