Tariffs, Economy, and Rentals

Considering the current economic environment, real estate market, and international tariffs... is now a good time to buy a rental property? I really want to jump into rental property investing, but this market seems like it's at a peak. Also, if the international tariffs remain in effect for an extended period of time, this will most likely create downward pressure on economic growth that may reverberate into multiple sectors. Should I wait a year or 2 for a potential dip in real estate prices?
