Rookie want to learn everything about Real Estate
Hello to all members of Bigger Pockets. As many of you have noticed from the title i am a rookie who wants to be a Real Estate wholeseller, buy and hold investor or both! My experience includes some construction work overseas and listening the Bigger Pockets podcast the last 48 hours. And not to forget i am an active tenant. But i am willing to go the extra mile in order to achive my dreams. Few things about me.
I was born in Rochester, NY on 1978 from Greek parents. Also my 2 brothers were born there too. We left USA all together when i was 5 and we went back to Greece. I came back in the US 5 years ago and since then i work hard to bring my dream in life. But it seems that work is not enough. Especially when you have a wife and a 7 months kid. Now i live in Chicago and i drive for Lyft and Uber. Sometimes things are not going as you expect. I have been in debt with over 46.000$. Without interest. Time is running out. And i feel it every day. I post this here today because i need your help. No. I dont ask money. I want your opinion. Lets get into it.
What are my options here in Chicago? USDA loans sounds good but i am not sure if i can get one since i am in debt. 203K loan for buying and fixing a foreclosure is something out of the sphere of the imagination. Should i go for a single family house and built equity? But i want to invest time and effort in Real Estate and quit the 9-5 one day. Is ther someone out there who can give me directions how to get my feet wet or how to get start?
I want to thank everyone who will read this and especially those who will take some of their time to write down a paragraph and send it to me. Sorry for the missing picture from my profile. I have contacted customer support how to upload one. Its my first post. I dont know if i can answer direct to those who sent something or if i can just keep writing here for instance. If i wont get back to this post soon dont forget...i am a rookie. And that is my first post. Goodnight to all of you
