Lighting Turning off Buyers

Posted

Hi. I reached out last week about my townhouse not getting showings and received some great feedback. I've made some changes to my listing (new photos still pending) and showings have picked up. Thanks to all that responded. I'm currently in the process of adding a 3rd bedroom, but would really love some input regarding the lighting in my house. I have a lot of crystal chandeliers and it was recently mentioned to me by a male friend that the lighting may be turning off potential buyers as it is very over the top. Should I consider putting in simpler light fixtures to appeal to the masses? I've also started clearing the house of all the artwork that you see in the current photos and have restaged my niece's room so that it looks more spacious and less personal.

Here is a link to view the lighting. Thanks for your advice.
