Scranton, PA investments

Joshua Esparza
Posted

Hi everyone,

I am looking for properties in the Scranton Area to implement the BRRRR strategy. I came across a home for around 10k about 1 mile from the University of Scranton. Could someone help assist me on any neighborhood I should try to avoid?

Thanks for the help!

No licensed real estate broker can (legally) tell you a neighborhood to 'stay away from'.  There are sites online to search crime statistics and maps showing details.  No city anywhere is immune to crime and drugs.

For investing, my rule of thumb has always been: would I feel comfortable having my daughter renting in that neighborhood, and how is the school district?

Also check out the towns around Scranton, like Dunmore, Olyphant, Throop, Dickson City, Clarks Summit.

Email me if you want to discuss further.  Good luck!
