How to find the right RE mentor?

I have just started and hung my license with a reputable broker in Novi, Michigan. I know that in order to expedite the learning curve and get traction, identifying a great mentor is critical. 

Any suggestions on ways to finding the right mentor? Family networking? Shadowing? Within my brokerage?
