Does NJ allow owners to close while they are out-of-state?

Hi all,

I'm new to the BP community and this is my first post!  (Hope I am posting this question in the right forum.)

Does New Jersey allow an absentee owner to close on their property while they are out-of-state?

Thanks in advance.

Why shouldn't they? We haven't been to an actual closing in a long time...we sign over POA to our lawyer and they do it all, we have bought many houses in NJ and also in NY this way (in fact, we have never met in person the attorney who handles our NY state closings!) Your attorney should be able to handle it all.
