Hi Preeti,

The staging will help out a lot in selling the house.  Buying a home is an emotional and exciting event for buyers.  When they walk through an empty house they have less of an emotional connection.  When the house is furnished its easy for them to picture everything in their mind and feel like it's theirs.  Now it also depends on the house.  If the house is old and in original condition it probably wouldn't help out that much.  Can't hide that with furniture.  If the house is in good condition or remodeled that is when the staging takes the house to the next level.
