Is JV a good option starting off

I’m just starting off I’ve been networking with a few real estate wholesalers. While networking I was asked to do a Joint Venture. I personal would like to do this on my own for the first couple of deals. Is this being to independent and not using my resources?

My real question....Is it ok to JV with someone this early or should I do all the leg work and then JV so I can bring more to the table?
