Re: Hud Loan Guideline Questions

When I left the residential lending industry, some changes occurred in which appraisal management companies began handling appraisals and brokers / bankers were allowed no contact with the appraiser.

At the time, Hud loans were not held to this standard. I know it's wishful thinking, but is this still the case?

Also, on a FHA streamline refi, is an appraisal now required? It wasn't back in the day.

Thanks in advance!
