My neighbor bought in Feb 2018.... 4/2 with 1700 sq ft... $2.5m at the time.... This is 94087 area of Sunnyvale

House now worth $1.8m, and they still have $2m mortgage...

First time for me seeing someone I know going “under water”

The only time this is really a problem is if they go to sell the house or need to refinance.
