New Locks or Re-key for duplex

Closing on my first duplex in a few weeks. I’ll be owner occupying. Is it easier to rekey the locks or just put new lock sets in. There is a shared front and rear basement door. And a front and rear door for each unit. Thoughts?

Take a look at landlordlocks.com. They offer master-key systems that work well with shared entrances and such and make it cheap and easy to rekey when needed.

A local locksmith can do the same, but more expensive.

I used to change out the whole lockstep, but I find the landlordlocks are better quality than the cheap ones I used to buy and are a whole lot easier.
