Shipping Container Homes. Is any financing available for them?

I sell luxury shipping container homes for some builders. To date, it has been an all cash market but with California relaxing laws on ADU’s as well as the popularity of the use of them for AIRBNB units, it seems that there should be financing available. If anyone knows of any, I would appreciate hearing about it.

also appraisers have problems with building standards and materials etc.. according to my banker.

The appraisals are frankly what hold the financing up. If there were some comps it make a huge change. Affixing them to perm  foundation is also a must .

One of my friends has a container building company.. and we share the same banker..  said banker and I were on the Bitterroot fishing 2 weeks ago and chatted about that.. he said the was issues with appraisers..

@Brianna Babienco I have not heard about financing these types of investments. Though, it may be treated on a case-by-case basis per the individual if they have good relationships with banks and/or lenders. Good luck finding a source!

@Briant Patterson seems like it would be similar to a mobile home where as long as it is on a permanent foundation it should be able to get financing.  An ADU wouldn't be so much a mortgage as an improvement like a kitchen remodel or a pool, you don't get a separate mortgage for those items.
