Best places to buy an apt complex or multi unit in the US? Any ideas?

Como is really up and coming right now. North Fort Worth has a lot of big business coming in. Crowley is growing also.

If you want cheap, Brownwood is a small town that is trying to grow. So a lot of distressed properties are on the market for cheap.

Cleburne is a another spot that is run down and a lot of people are flipping. There are a lot of older homes there.

@Terry Garrett, I agree with @Leah Stuever, DFW is the place to be. At the beginning of this year I bought, renovated, and sold a 6plex in 48 days. The 6plex was in East FTW, an upcoming area.  It was crazy how many offers we had and negotiated with. This market is hot for both buyers and sellers. I currently have an 8plex in Ardmore OK I'd sell as well. This market is great as well as its a transition between FWD (Fort Worth Dallas) :) and OK City.  Hit me up if you have any additional questions on plexes in DFW.  If you see anything in the area you like I'm more than happy to walk it with you. Also, Im always open to JV.

Your own backyard.   I like plexes because you pretty much know they are investor-owned.  Every plex I see that's getting work done to it or shows signs of deferred maintenance gets a letter or postcard from me.  I try to get to know every plex owner of my target neighborhood.
