Foreclosure purchase in person San Diego CA

Hello all, my name is Ross Lumley. I own approximately 200 doors in Minneapolis MN. I am looking to expand into CA. I recently picked up a lead on a foreclosure in San Diego that I am very interested in, but I have never purchased a property in person. I am a cash buyer and wondering if anyone has any insight they can give as to how to make sure the process goes successful and smooth?
