I bought a house today...

... and the seller was at the closing. The last 54 houses that I purchased were all from banks. It was weird to see a seller at the table. Kind of like the old days. It was nice to actually talk about the house and ask questions. It has become so normal to buy a house and the whole history of the house is a mystery.

I've just started purchasing short sales after years of REO purchases. The first time I sat down with a seller was a couple months ago, and it was very weird, especially because they were doing a short sale.

Though, what I've found is that more times than not, even with a short sale, the seller is thrilled to be sitting at the closing table...
