HVAC dispute with buyer

Maria Kilinski
Posted

We sold a house last March that was "near the end of its useful life" according to the buyers inspector.  The buyers contacted us directly and asked for the "date of the air conditioner".   We gave him the date of the blower since we were in the midst of a polar vortex and didn't really think about going outside.   We are now being sued for gross misrepresentation.  The ac unit was working totally fine the last time it was used.  Do they have a case?
