Selling a lead to a realtor

Hello,

I’m a newly hired showing agent, meaning all I do is show houses for other realtors for a flat fee.  My new broker doesn’t allow showing agents to perform real estate transactions.  I’m about to sell a rental that I own.  Any ideas of how I can go about this without paying a listing agent to represent me?  Should I offer the listing to an agent at a discounted commission rate?

@Lisa Sluss Your broker can’t make an exception for your own home?

If that’s the case then that’s real crappy...

You can still sell it for sale by owner, you have that right as an owner.

You can ask the listing agent to give you a referral fee for giving them the “lead.”

When will be able to earn commissions? Be careful if the broker continuously prevents you from advancing.
