Hi BiggerPockets!

I’m curently listening to Podcast 20 of the BiggerPockets podcast and in it, the guys suggest we all make an introduction post so here we go:

My name is Zack Morley and I am currently living in, and planning to invest in the Kankakee County, Illinois area. I am 24 years old and have been researching/reading about real estate investing for about 3 months now. I plan to house hack/live-in flip to begin my investing journey. After finding a house hack, I plan to invest in SFHs to buy and hold in my area.

I would love to talk to someone who invests in the Kankakee area and of course, if anyone has any tips for a beginner like myself - I’m all ears!

welcome @Zachary Morley

First of all, upload a picture. It will help you build credibility. Then participate in the forums, read the blogs and listen to the podcasts.

Read the ultimate beginner's guide.

Look for local REIA in your area. Find them here on BP "events" or go to meetup.com. Networking with like-minded people will keep you motivated.

good luck!
