Am I getting strung along?
I submitted an all cash, no contingencies, as-is offer and we agreed on a price/terms. I had a previous escrow on this house, but we couldn’t agree on repairs so I dropped out. House was relisted and the repairs were made by the seller in the meantime. Agent is repping me and the seller. They said they are waiting on termite clearance to open escrow and determine a close date. Sounds fishy. I told them I’d wire the entire amount as a non-refundable deposit. I think they’re waiting to get clearance for a loan contingency on a higher financed offer now. Does the termite story carry any weight? Realtor won’t call me back.
