Anybody here from the Houston area?

Hello there, I am from the Seattle area and my fiance and I are looking for a change of scenery/pace and we have decided to move to Houston for a year or two. We are planning on renting out our house here in Washington and buying another home to live in while we are in Houston. The issue we are running into is that we have no idea what the housing market in Houston is like or where to even start looking. We would like to be in a location where it will be easy to rent out/positive cash flow once we finally do move back to Washington. 

Any suggestions?

Also, if anybody knows an agent that would understand our situation, that would be greatly appreciated too.
